About this web site

Welcome to PhotographyTips.com. We hope you enjoy your visit.

This web site is destined to be the ultimate photographer’s resource - the place any photographer comes to for information regardless of the subject and level of expertise.

We launched PhotographyTips.com (See The Creation of photographytips.com) knowing there were still areas that needed to be addressed. However, that began to change as the web site evolved. We are still adding and refining our comprehensive content, and plan to reach into every corner of this fascinating topic. As time goes on and this website continues to grow, it will contain more and more information that will appeal to the absolute novice, the top professional and everyone in between.

Photography is a wonderful, rewarding field. Nothing can make us happier than to know that someone’s pictures improved as a result of visiting this site.

LOTS OF PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT US

Check out what others, including some pretty high-ranking authorities, popular web sites and well-known publications, have had to say about us, including Australian National Radio, Earthlink's newsletter, the BBC, USAToday, PCWorld magazine, TechTV and many others. Click on Where we've been found.

NOT JUST FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS

This web site is also an information resource for people who don't necessarily wish to be photographers themselves, but who want to know about photography because they deal with people in the field. They may be models or potential models, engaged couples who want to know about hiring a wedding or engagement photographer, make-up artists who become allied with photographers, styling consultants, art directors, artists, advertising executives and others whose lives or livelihood bring them close to photography and photographers.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU

Many people don’t aim to be top photographers; they just want to take good pictures when they have a camera in their hands. We hope these people will find the information, tips and hints provided here that will allow them to do that. If they don’t, we’d like to hear from them, to learn what’s missing and what they feel they need to improve their picture-taking.

But, we'd also like to hear from accomplished photographers who can tell us how best we can serve their needs - what should be on the web site that they need to know about.

SEND US YOUR TIPS

If you have a tip or information of your own that you feel should be included here, please let us know. We will be happy to credit you with the information and for any pictures you submit to illustrate your material.

TELL US IF SOMETHING NEEDS CORRECTION

Above all, we strive to present accurate, objective information in a friendly, easy-to-understand manner that treats you, our visitor, as the most important person. If our information is wrong or badly-presented, we want to know about it. We invite criticism and welcome correction.

We encourage you to visit our many sections, look for the information you want, tell us what is missing, achieve a better understanding of photography and learn to make better pictures.
