It's rare enough to see one albino deer, but photographer Dave Mitchell captured two on film.
|
Dave Mitchell used his Sony Mavica FD95 in the fall of 2001 to photograph these albino deer in his back yard in Meadville, Pa.
Dave said, "Albino deer are pretty rare, but what makes these two unique is that they have the same mother. They are twins, but I have been unable to determine their sexes. I'm pretty sure one of them is a buck because one appears to have a button on top of its head."
|
"They live in the wild and the photos show them with their mother," said Dave. "She is very protective of them and I've had to be careful stalking them for some of my shots. They were born this spring and I've watched them grow up all summer. There are a number of people around here who have seen them, but not everybody knows about them. They are not real skittish because I think they are used to people being around them, but they will bolt when they are surprised. The photos that show them facing me were taken through my front door with a 20X zoom lens. They were about 100 ft from me, but they couldn't see me because the sun was reflecting off of the glass and very effectively hid me."

Simply entitled "Evelyn," this image is of a poor girl in the town of El Limon in the Dominican Republic.

John Gallagher has submitted several pictures to PhotographyTips.com over time. Known to us as "Anthroguy" - a name found in his email address - he has travelled the world and sent in images from his many voyages. Most of them have been exceptional.
This one, of a pretty little girl named "Evelyn" and her friend, who live in El Limon in the Dominican Republic, is particularly striking. Evelyn's eyes and her expression tell many tales of life in her part of the world. Thanks, John (Anthroguy), for sharing this image with our viewers.

Ravi Makhija is an amateur photographer who is on the road to becoming a professional. He took this lovely woman's portrait, and asked us what we thought of it.
Ravi wanted our comments to improve his "performance in future," especially in lighting and posing techniques.
When one of you can find fault with the image, please let us know and we will reply to Ravi. But, we may argue with you. As far as we are concerned, it is a very nice portrait - a credit to his skill and his model's beauty.

Ravi Makhija took this delightful and charming portrait.

This frog, captured in an Australian suburb, appears to be totally ignoring the photographer.

Photographer Henk-Bensink wrote: "I came upon your nice site and had a wonderful time going through all the information presented to me, and very useful (thank you). I hereby attach a photo of a green tree frog, taken on the 10 of October 2001 in Brisbane, Australia - in one of the suburbs. Kind regards, Henk-Bensink".
