That annoying lens cap attached to your camera can often get in the way of your lens.

Here's the problem....
Your lens cap is attached to your camera by a cord to keep you from losing it, but when you're about to take a picture, it seems to swing right in front of your lens at just the wrong moment, blocking a part of the scene. Aaargh! How maddening.
When you grab it to get it out of the way, you have only one hand left to take the picture - a hand you could need to aim and hold the camera, and to focus or change settings.
There has to be a better way.
And there is.
You need to have a secure place to place that annoying lens cap while you are taking pictures so that it still won't get lost but also won't interfere with your field of vision. The answer is velcro.
Attach a small strip of velcro to the front of your lens cap, in the middle, and another strip of equal size to the top of your camera (or maybe its bottom or side, depending on your camera model), in a place that won't interfere with its controls and operation. Then, when you remove the cap from the front of the lens to take a picture, you can quickly stick it onto the camera body, out of the way, using the velcro. It will stay there until you strip it off when you're finished taking pictures and put it back in place to protect your lens.
Problem solved!
The image on the left shows that a small patch of velcro has been stuck to the top of the camera's pop-up flash on top of the camera. There is a similar patch of velcro on the front of the lens cap.
Stick the two velcro patches together, as shown in the image below, and - voila - your lens cap is firmly out of the way, allowing you to aim your camera in any direction - up, down or sideways - without it interfering with your picture-taking.
