Black wrap or black cinefoil - Not many people know about this useful product.

Black cinefoil is a matte black aluminum material that virtually soaks up light, ideal for eliminating unwanted reflections or solving light leaks. Lightweight and durable, it can be quickly positioned in place with tape, staples or adhesives, and it can also be molded to form makeshift barndoors, flags and other light-blocking configurations, or shaped into a homemade snoot and other light-channeling uses.

It is thick enough to hold the shape you form it into, and can be fitted around a studio light reflector without being affected by the heat. Cinefoil is also available in white for bouncing light, or black on one side and white on the other for masking or bouncing. Great stuff! Black wrap is not available at your corner grocer, though. Want to try it out, but can’t find a place to buy it? Send us an email and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Black wrap can be easily-cut with ordinary scissors.
