I heard the weather for this morning was going to be foggy. I got up early to go to the Wharf along the Monongahela River to set this photo up. The fog didn't disappoint. This is a 9 shot HDR converted in Photomatix and then into Lightroom and then finally into Silver Efex 2. Applied a mask and brought back a little bit of the creamy buttery color in the fog produced by the sun. What a great morning. Thanks for looking.

Here is another HDR of the same view point in color. This is a HDR made up of three shots.

The major thing wrong with this picture is that's too hard to say. Why not Lake Erie and make it easier on everyone.

This one (morning mist) I love (even though it's still hard to say. )

The quality stands out, which is what I've come to expect from you...
I like the sombre mood of the monochrome image as a photograph but also like the coloured version as photographic art...

Thanks so much Kenny.

I hope I don't sound like a broken record but, I owe a lot of thanks to a lot of you here in Photography Tips. When I first started out I had no clue. Certainly not a trained eye or any processing skills. You all hung in there and didn't blink an eye giving advise when needed and don't think for a minute I forgot that. I couldn't have reached this far had it not been for you Kenny, and all the others here that helped get me into shape. Thanks once again to the contributors here in Photography Tips.

Now that you mention it it is interesting to reflect back on your metamorphosis, if that's the appropriate expression. You have really developed your own style.

I love all the pictures and my favorite is the one with the 'golden' in title. the effect of the sun made the picture alive. Kevin Simpson is a very intelligent photographer.
