Over the years I've done a LOT of weddings. One thing I'm still seeing is wedding cars dying with the B&G onboard. You'd think companies would maintain cars taking people to and from a wedding. Theres time, the risk of them missing the wedding even. Yet year after year I see it.
Yesterday it happened again.
A daimler limo no less. The church was about 40 minutes away from the reception, mostly open fast roads.
I left a few minutes after the wedding car and it took me the best part of 20 miles to catch it, and I wasn't hanging about. The driver was trashing the guts out of it.
After everybody is dropped off they try to start it. It sounds like someone shaking a bucket of bolts then it dropped a gallon of oil on the hotel car park floor. One dead Daimler! Good thing it didn't let go on the way to the church....
