Hi Diane,
I own a Nikon n80 for about a year also. I love mine. I have the standard 28-80 lens and a 75- 300 zoom lens. It can get a little confusing on choosing the autofocus but don't give up. It's a very nice camera. You have the option of using the autofocus or manual focus. No matter what camera you own I think you should have this choice. Once you work with it, it gets easier. Just the same if you bought another camera, you have to get comfortable with it. Learn its features and what you want to do with it. I've been taking wonderful photos with mine. Good Luck!
