Ok I'm thinking of a new camera for Christmas and I'm stumped. At the moment it's a choice between the Canon 5d3 (cheapest), the 5dsr or the 1dx2. Now they all have things I like.
I'm led to believe the 5d3 is the best of the bunch for low light, the 1dx2 (also good in low light) but better weather sealing and built like a tank, but heavy. Or the 5dsr, way better resolution.
The bulk of my work is weddings/studio but I want good low light ability.
Anybody got any or recomendations???

Thanks for the reply mate. I used to use Nikon when I was a press photographer. And had a D3 D700 and D2x untill recently.
I just prefer the colours from Canon, I now have so much Canon stuff to swop now would be just too expensive. I do like the D5 though.....

My first camera was a Canon. I have been using Nikon since the Nikon EM film cameras. I was just poking a joke. I am waiting for some cash flow to upgrade my equipment as well.

I'm still undecided, I'm leaning towards one of the 5D's though, not sure yet which one though.
The Nikon D5 is a cracker in low light, but it's expensive and heavy.
I was given a Nikon D3400 for a lend last week. It's really good in low light, I was supprised how the crop sensors have come along, 6400 iso wasn't a problem for it.

After lots of testing and looking at images one to one, I've narrowed it down to the 5d3 or 5d4 or couriously the 6d. The 5d4 has better focusing, dual card slots but oddly the 6d is better in low light that either of the 5d's, and thats important to me. I only use the centre focus point anyway on all my cameras (probably a left over from film days) but hey, it works for me. I do like dul card slots though.
Damm! I may have to buy both... Trouble is I've spotted some new lens as well...

Photography is one of those habits that must be fed. Feeding it is expensive.
