I bought this with the intentions of having a little camera to harrass people... I mean my kids... while they are outside playing. I'm so very disappointed. I can't even return it because I inadvertantly threw away the receipt. There goes a birthday present right down the drain.
When you look at the pictures at 100% there are pixels all over. Plus, it goes thru batteries like I go thru rags when I clean.

Cathy, Where did you buy it? How did you pay for it? Do you still have the box and all the junk that came with it? If you bought it on line the seller should be able to find a record of your purchase and supply the receipt. Also you might have a confirmation receipt on line, then you go back to the retailer. If you paid by plastic you should be able to get a copy of the slip from your credit card company or if it's a debit card it should show up on your bank statement, then you go back to the retailer . If you paid by check you have a record from which the store can trace your order. If you paid in pennies you may be up the creek without a P&S. Good luck.

Walmart by gift card. They said at the store they couldn't look up the gift card. There has to be a way tho. I still have the card. I bet if I called to dispute the amount left on the card, they would tell me what was purchased with it.
I will be so very sad if I can't return it.

They must have a stock record somewhere on when it was sold... This should be recorded when the item was scanned at the point of sale... If you can tell them the time, date, and checkout point that you bought it they should be able to trace the transaction...

I pull the gift card out of the envelope it came in so I can call about the card. Guess what I had put in the envelope so I knew how much was left on the card?? The receipt for crappy camera!
This is a good day.

I knew you women were trying to take over the world.
Just curious, the problem with the grain.
Is it because you cannot change ISO, and maybe it is set to a high ISO?
So what camera are you going to get instead? Larry

If I don`t make sense,...Oh well.
Also-I have forgotten more about photography than I will ever know.

I checked 2 of the pictures, and one was at iso 100 and the other iso 250. Both terribly pixely. I got another Canon powershot, different model. I will try this one out for a few days. If I'm not happy it will go back too. Then, I will just wait and save up for a better p&s.
Here is a crop to show you what the crappy camera pics look like. This one is the iso 100.

I missed this back in Nov. some how.
The photo that PC posted looks to me to be noise from under exposure and not pixelation. I suspect that camera would give great results if exposure was good.
The photo from Daz. looks to be more like pixelation due to the low quality setting in the camera or from post processing to resize for web posting.
