I edited some pics for a friend whos having computer issues and cant edit for a few days, these were pics for a magizine comer.

Now I have the same camera he's using (although it's not my first choice camera)when I got the pics I was supprised by the quality. Very noisy and not very sharp. So I check the pics and they are shot at 100 iso (I normally use 200 iso on that camera with no noise)the exposure is fine so it's not caused by under exposure as is often the case with noisy pics.

Then theres the sharpness, he's shooting under studio lighting so I know he's at F11, and I know what lens he has (a good canon lens)yet it's soft as anything, some are way too soft to use, never mind a cover shot.

I know he knows what he's doing so I'm stumped trying to work out whats going on, it's not motion blur but just soft, nothing really in focus. The only thing I can think of is a duff lens, the one he has is a really good lens normally.

Baffled to be honest.
