The new version of Photomatix has been out for a little while now, so heres my brief review. (note I have no connection with photomatix)

The interface has changed slightly, but not enough to confuse you if you've used the older version. The quality seems every bit as good if not better. I personally think it's quicker than V4 but I haven't done a proper comparrison.
The opening box now has more options for noise reduction ect, but again not any big scary changes.
One thing I do really like is the new options in exposure fusion, theres now a 'real estate' option that gives a more natural look (although you can get that anyway with the normal setting once your used to the program) The real estate setting does give a very natural look with the default which makes it easier.

Theres a screen cap below showing the new interface.
