I would like your opinion on this. The original looks nothing like this and I would like to know if this is too saturated or manipulated too much or the crop is wrong. A lot to ask huh? I will post the original for comparison

Would like to have seen all the books but that lovely warm tone means I can almost feel and smell the leather, even though they aren't leather bound...

Thanks Kenny, I did try it with all the books but I just liked the closer look. This was at a museum so I couldn't really do much with the original when taken.

You have to do some blurring of the book edges because you can tell they were pasted on the black. I do like the effect on the books tho. This has great potential.

Thank you Cathy! I will try blurring. I wanted to get some separation between but I am not that great of a photoshopper!!

When you have your selecton just add a little feather (just a few pixels) it softens the edge of the join.
It should be in the select menu in refine edge in the newer versions or modify in the older ones.
