Well I have been using LR3 for a while now and I have to say I'm not impressed.
I have been with it since LR1 first appeared but sadly it seems to be going backwards in some ways.
I don't like the new import module, what was wrong with the old one? Theses still no softproofing, theres sill issues with adding text, the slide show module is limited. But worse for me is the proformance, it's slower to export, and much slower to update the thumbnails. I'm also getting eratic auto ajustment which should be a big time saver when you have a few thousand pics to edit in a day, but I'm having to tweek a lot after export now (which I didn't before with LR2) I'm seriously thinking of switching back.
Anybody else having issues with LR3? I'd be interested in others experiences.

Wayne - thanks for sharing your thoughts on LR3. I've been a LR user since LR1 and am currently running LR2. I downloaded the LR3 beta and, like you, didn't like the import module. I decided there was nothing in LR3 that I needed right away and am waiting to see how others like (or not) the latest version.

Finally someone I can relate to! So many people just love all things photoshop but I really don't like it. I agree, it takes ages to export and I dunno, it just doesn't seem logically organized, like the arrangement of tools and everything. I want to branch out and try a totally new software but people really only seem to know of photoshop. Did you move on to a different software or stick it out with LR3? Or is there something else you use now for picture editing? I've googled and found a few options but would much rather go with something that you would personally recommend.
Thanks!

Hi Sammy.
I still use photoshop mostly but it's just too slow for the bulk editing of weddings. Fortunatly Lightroom 4 was better and for me much faster, so that does the bulk of the work with photoshop for the clever stuff.
ACDSee isn't too bad as is Darktable (a sort of open source lightroom)although I don't use either much these days.
