Somehow I've managed to loose a bit of my video gear, not an important or expensive bit but I'm going crazy trying to find it!
It's a Y shaped bracket that goes on the camera hot shoe and it has 2 cold shoes on the top of the Y part. The idea is the mike goes on one side and the video light goes on the other side. Probably about 5 inchs high. It's just cheap metal, they are about $5 ish on ebay.
Whats driving me mad is I cant figure out where it's gone, I've searched the house a few times, gone through the car, my mates bags have all been checked and the so and so is still AWOL.
Eventually I gave up the search, called off the tracker dogs and ordered a new one. That arrived yesterday.... Argggg!! this ones a different size, it's bigger, now the wire from the mike wont reach!
I'm back to going crazy again......

UPDATE.
I've bought a new lead for the mike. So that problem is solved.
A few days ago I was out shooting flowers and butterflies, as I was shooting at F2.8 in bright sun I was struggling to get a high enough shutter speed. I'd left my neutral density filters at home. When I get back I go to find them and notice my micro camping stove has gone missing. Ok what the heck is going on? So now I start looking for that (it normally lives in a clear plastic bag ontop of the cooking pot).
I find it in an old camera bag... and the Y shaped bracket!!!
Now this is really weird! I'd checked this bag at least 3 times. Not only checked it but tipped it out on the bed and replaced the items one by one. No way could I miss a six inch metal bracket.
Weird or what.... must be ghost....
