I think that's what kind they are. I remember a while back someone (probably Victor) made a comment to someone about getting spots off their pictures by cleaning their monitor. photolady responded not to use windex on LCD monitors.
I don't remember if someone actually posted how to clean those monitors. Can someone let me in on the secret?

PC - Are you talking about cleaning your laptop screen? Yes, it is the same as an LCD monitor.
>>>>>Here's a link<<<<< to a site that has instructions for cleaning LCD monitors. If you don't have a solution specifically for LCD screens, you can make your own with 50% isopropyl alcohol and 50% distilled water. This site warns against using tap water because it can leave mineral spots. You don't want to use anything with ammonia or ethanol. Also you want to use a soft cloth such as a microfiber cloth - never paper towels. My son (the IT specialist) says athletic socks make good cleaning cloths - LOL! I prefer microfiber cloths.
Also - spray the cleaning liquid onto the cloth - never directly onto the LCD monitor.

Not for my laptop. I clean an office and there are 11 of these flat screen monitors. The owner said he had some cleaner at his house. In case he forgets to bring it in, I know what I can do.
Thanks Alice.

Cathy - Let the not so little pup lick it clean... First turn the monitor off... then if you spray some glass cleaner on a rag (not till WET) and run it over the screen you should be good to go... I usually follow that up with a rub down from a Lens cloth (monitor on) to get any smudges left behind. I have been cleaning monitors of all types for 20+ years now.

How about Ajax and a Brillo pad? That should get them sparkling.

I use a product called Crystal Clear, it is meant to be used on spectacles... It works on LCD, Plasma and CRT monitors/TV's...

Is it sold in the US also? Is it carried in stores or online only?

Utilize just chemicals made particularly for cleaning screens and screen screens. Chemicals not made to clean screens and screen screens can scratch the LCD/LED show or strip off the completion (at the base of this article is more data about fitting purifying arrangements). And try not to shower any sort of fluid straightforwardly onto the screen or instance of your screen. Showering fluids specifically onto the screen or case can bring about harm which is not secured under guarantee.
