Hello everyone! I know it's been a while since I've posted. Between my full-time job and my photography, I honestly just have not had the time to do much posting anywhere. It looks like I'll be able to relax and unwind a bit this weekend.

Anyway, here's a shot from a recent Squirt ice hockey game. Squirts are 9-10 years old. There are a few girls playing with the boys at this age and this little girl (white #7) gives as good as she gets.

And this little guy deflected a high stick and played through. Still not sure why no penalty was called since the stick actually came in contact with his face cage but it wasn't.

Hi alice!!
Actually the boy is stopping the girl to come forward so in her defense the girl is trying to make him away that is why the stick in her hand come across the boy's face. So as much as I know about hokey rules there is no any chance of penalty in this case. It seems the team of girls are playing well against boys.
