The red-eyed tree frog is also known as the "monkey frog" for its astonishing ability to cling to trees like a monkey does (perhaps even better than a monkey, since it has toe pads that function like suction cups), and for its great coordination. It is a nocturnal denizen of the rain forest that doesn't grow much bigger than two inches (males) to three inches (females).
