Bahia Balandra

Bahia Balandra (Balandra Bay).

Twelve miles north of La Paz, Balandra has wonderful beaches. A sandbar stretches right across the bay, permitting bathers to wade from one side to the other through water that is usually no deeper than chest high. Sheltered from almost every direction from wave action, the water is warm and safe for swimming, but you have to watch out for the occasional stingray.
