Roadrunner

This is a portrait of a "Greater Roadrunner," perhaps surprisingly, a member of the cuckoo family, and the most famous bird of the Arizona-Sonoran Desert ("Beep-Beep"). It can fly, but usually doesn't. Its running speed allows it to capture snakes, fast-moving lizards, rodents and even a variety of small birds.
