I like the image, but if you hadn't said it was a ring shot, I would have never known.
I head out this weekend to shoot a solo wedding 4 hours from here. It on the beach and a military wedding. Should be interesting.

That's because the little gold rings in the middle are outshone by the vivid pink in the image. To emphasise the rings I would have had them as the only coloured bit of the image. It is however a very nice image as is, ring shot or not...

Thanks for the critique and suggestions. I actually editied this image in about 5 different flavors. I know it is extra work, but knowing the bride and mother of the bride I love to surprise them with a variety to choose from. The mother of the bride was my son and daughter's elementary school Phys Ed teacher (my son graduated 2011) and she has provided me with many word of mouth opportunities.

They are nice shots but I personally wouldn't class them as ring shots, the ring is too small a part for my taste.

Swan - you have a point there. What would be a better name for them? I have been trying to figure it out too.

I's probably call them detail shots, we often take pics of the place settings, flowers etc, thats what I'd call them, for me a ring shots is a clear shot of the rings (maybe the heart shape on a book or just on plain wood)

Thank you. That makes more sense and it fits better. I was just operating on the fact the rings were "in" the shot.
