Ok so a friend has a camera with her newborns photos on from 7 yrs ago... she has had it to photo labs and everybody says its the strangest thing, the photos appear on the camera with card inserted. But when you remove the card the photos dont appear on the card alone or the camera alone. I dont have a card reader or a cord for it as of now, just curious if anyone had any thoughts. Thanks!

What format are they? it's possible that they are raw files on the camera built in memory but for some reason it's not seeing the embedded jpeg, another possibility is the file names have somehow changed and the camera can no longer see them. What happens if you put a fresh card in? are the pics still there.
