Hello again everyone....I posted a thread on shooting action shots earier and it help tremendously. This is really a great forum. Anywho.....I have always used Microsoft Picture It for any collage or "project" that I have created but it seems to be much more limited in what I can do. I haven't played with Photoshop much but it seems to be in my near future. I was wondering if there are any good Senior templates out there that are user friendly? I love creating new projects with picture it but they are just so time consuming to create. Any suggestions?
I was recently at a car show and another photographer there was also using a tablet. Has anyone has any experience with those and are they worth the money? Thanks for any input!

I love my tablet although after I installed windows 7, I always get an error message that says to reinstall the drivers. Did that didn't help. I thought maybe it was worn out so I unistalled it reinstalled it still the same thing so I finally went to the mouse that came with my comp. I was going to buy a new tablet but the new ones just come with a pen and I want a mouse too like my old one came with. sorry to hijack this thread Maegirl.

I have never used a tablet before and I'm nost positive it would work for me. I prob would only use it for tracing about cars or people (which is not easy) so I'm not sure it would be worth it for me. Just wanted to know how easy to use or if you think they are worth the money.

I find it easy because the footprint is constant and the pen nib is pressure sensitive...

Thanks Kenny.....I have never used one before but I have noticed there is a wide price range. The one you said you use, what all does it allow you to do? I'm just trying to decide if it would even benefit me.

I use the older version of the Wacom Bamboo... It's small, the pen gives greater control than a mouse when dealing with fine detail... You can turn the touch option on or off to suit what you are doing, it can be set up to be used by left or right handed people... I have one button to laumch Canon's DPP and another to lauch Photoshop... The tablet works well for me but we are not all the same, I suggest you try before you buy...

If you're going to invest in Photoshop do yourself a favor and buy the Wacom tablet. Be careful though as there is a huge range of prices. As long as it's pressure sensitive you don't need anything more. At least not until you become a graphic artist.
