OK, all you guys and gals with macro lenses - here's the challenge to post your best macro shot,,,,so hit me with your best shot. (I know there's at least one new lens out there just waiting to show us what she's got )
This isn't the best but care to guess what it is. Nope, it's not a quilt.

Ok I will take the bait I think I burned up most of the day doing these. Had a few keepers but this was my favorite for today.
Is yours a doily?? Don't tell if it isn't, I think it deserves a few more guesses.

Thought I'd add this although it's not as exciting as Chance's submission nor as colorful as E.'s.

A guess at E's image... I see some shiny reflections there. So my guess is that this is a piece of painted pottery.
Love Chance's water drop splash!!

Joel, that's good too. I could see some PS work to turn it into some Sci-Fi piece.

Thanks for the kind words, E. and Chance.
Every time I look at your subject is E. I come up with "detail from a lady's scarf." But the worn out detail at the bottom and middle left along with the blue bleed in top center-right doesn't fit. I really can't figure out what it is.

Very interesting, Chance. It certainly looks like somesort of netting. Too small, I think to be a plastic bottle separator.
