Hi guys,
How do you create this mood light? I tried making one out of CARDBOARD but it's not working! I have an ALIEN BEE 800 with a 10degree honeycomb!

Remember the further away the obect used as a mask is away from the light source, the sharper it will appear on the subject...
Likewise the harder the light source the cleaner the edge definition will be...

That is some pretty good grid work - nice look and feel to it.... Nice whoever shot that!
Actually, it looks like a fence or something bc it appears to be outdoors...

Some are done using a focusing spot this light had a lens and can be focused to bring a mask sharp.
You could try a projector for a similar effect.
