This was shot on location with natural light and one flash recently in this newborn's nursery. Been trying a bit of on location shooting for newborns.

Thanks, guys! They did like it. I have to confess it took me a few tries to figure out how to pose a baby with a floppy long neck giraffe, lol.

I'd say you nailed the pose, both for the baby and the stuffed critter. It's almost like it is say "We had a good play now rest little one."

This is great shot! good composition, good lighting and correct color balance, it gives the warm feeling like you get warm feeling from having a newborn baby!

Thanks, Photomom. We really wanted that image with the giraffe. I have to confess. This one's grandparents will be getting these images for free or at least at lab cost and the giraffe was a gift from yours truly. He is my grandson. I have taken lots of images but this was the most challenging and in the end my favorite newborn image. I also like it in black and white, sepia and brown/white duotones. Thanks all.
