Another random drive by Benj posting.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I see a major rule breaking here - shooting a young lady straight on. However my eye/brain tells me it works well. So I have to ask myself why? Is it the cemetricalness of the image? The nice use of hands to frame her face? The nice triangle formed by her arms that leads the eyes to her face? All of this? More???

I do find me mind and eyes wanting to see her elbows. That means I'm not totally digging the crop. But I still like the image and may just have to try this myself. Thanks for the inspiration.

I think it does help that she is beautiful. In my opinion it is so much easier to shoot beautiful people than not. May sound snotty but its the truth

You are correct, it is easier to photograph [physically] beautiful women than women who are not [physically] beautiful. I have also noticed I get LOTS more comments on a well lit well posed shot of a beautiful women, than I will if she is well lit and well posed but not as beautiful.

Great shot Benji. However we do not expect less from you. Your'e lighting her slightly from the left so that even thought the shot is dead on it's not making her seem more real, more alive. And yes she's not ugly. This is so good that I hope E. get's this one down or he'll be trying it forever.

Wow! I'm speechless.
I see what you mean JJ, it just seems sooo realistic, almost three dimensional. Great job Benji
