I stood out in the yard forever and was determined to get this. So glad I went out that night, they were gone the next day

Thanks guys. Yes the birdhouse is a gourd and was hanging in my house forever and I thought I'm going to put it outside last year and right away it was occupied. I got these this year. They usually have 2 batches of babies

Great shot, but this is why I would never make a wildlife photographer, not enough patience. Hummingbirds are easier, they could not care less who is around. Feisty little buggers.
