Ok so I was outside waiting for the birds to do something interesting and I kept looking at the ground. There was so much dew on the grass I just couldn't pass it up. So I went in and got a towel and down on the ground I went. Neighbors gotta think I am nuts. I'm ok with that!

Nice work Chance. You might want to crop it tighter and subdue the background a tad. I sure do like what I see though. I'm just starting to tinker with macro myself and got a lot to learn. Cheers.

Thanks Kevin. Definitely me too, learning all the time but it sure is fun. A guy on another forum uses an mpe-65 and man does he get great shots. I did crop the double water drop and it just seems to get grainier. First time i have tried this so I hope to get a little better at it. Also they were hand held because I don't have a tripod that is low enough. Used various things to steady the cam but in the end I just had to hand hold.

hehe, talk about grain, look at my first image of the bee. Ol' Joel who claims to be blind caught it right off the bat. Settle down Joel before I have to whack you with my cane...hehe.
I'm happy I'm trying something different. Cheers.

Chance, this is very nice work. I think, kevin is right about cropping and saturation control. You didn't mention but I'm sure you saw the insect in the second pic (which, by the way, is my fav. Be careful you don't crop that little fella out of the picture. I am also in awe of the brilliance of the flower capture in 3913.I am curious though What lens were you using and what shutter speed. Your ISO's were pretty high (3200,1600,3200)but your aperture was a relatively modest f8. Can you explain your set ups?

Thanks Joel. I did have it on vivid mode which btw I am addicted to although I try and shoot with and without but forgot this time. I am very confused because I had it on manual and I had set my iso at 300 and on the exif it says it was 3200?? I couldn't figure out why it was so grainy but I guess that is why. Why did it jump up so?? 1/2000 f8. I would never have set it to 3200-just not necessary! I used my Sigma 150mm.

Very nice work. The last has to be my fave. You're improving by leaps with your macro work. Let's see some more!
