I think these are called tiger lilies. Either way, nice job with the bokah.

That's what I call them but I have seen others called that too. Thanks, CP. I love bokah! Want a F2.8 zoom lens so badly. Maybe some day. Trying to figure out a gig or marketing scheme to land that lens for myself.

How about considering a 50mm prime? I'll tell you my 50mm f/1.4 prime lens is just as good as my other 2.8 lenses.

GG - the exif data says you have a 50mm 1.8 so why the need for a 2.8???? Or am I missing something here????

I love my 50 f1.8 and I have a manual 85 f1.8 I love too. I thought I had taken this with that zoom lens. I want one of those VR zoom lenses that come in f2.8. My zoom lens only goes to F4.5, I think. I'd be interested in anyone's thoughts on the Nikon VR zoom lenses.

GG, the VR function is not generally availble on fast lenses probably because you can get the speed you need in most cases by opening up a fast lens all the way or almost all the way. Nikon does make some fast (fixed 2.8)zooms but they cost. Take a look at Nikon's digital lens lineup at Link to Nikon Lenses
